no no I disagree, I think we need at least 10 more pages of discussion before we come to this very same conclusion ;)
How hard can it be?

OK I think we need to move on, at the end of the day we all need to be responsable for our own gear and take measures to limit the opportunity for these thieving gits, the law is not on our side as we all know.
The club has always been open to all from the earlier days, half of you would not be riding had we taken a Cheesy riders line? Having said that I think Lee has put engough measures in place with no personel details on the web page or forum, I do agree that if someone signs up but does not bother after 3-4 weeks of attending a ride then yes delete them from the forum apart from that leave the site as it is. This site was orginally built to cut my phone bill down sorting out rides, who was coming and transport and somewhere for us to chat and post pictures, we have finally got every using the forum now (even Tim) just Marcus to sort out. Lee buit this to make it easier for all but he is not at our beck and call to sort stuff out all the time he is not on anyones payroll so lets get back to sorting out rides and who is going at the end of the day that is what is important not this web page or forum, I just want to ride as much as I can not be on here.

Point made! I hate it grrrr I'm logged on 99% of the time so it doesn't really affect me in work, but when I logon from home I can see it might get annoying having to enter your password every time you check the forum for an update. I don't think removing (or blurring out) pics and video is a good idea. I think it will come across as a closed group.

If your that concerned about being photographed near your bike and tracked home ... request ahead of time that any pics of you are either NOT taken or NOT uploaded. Common sense should prevail with your own bike security and simple things like NOT leaving your bike/bike rack on the car and NOT washing the bike in the front street ….. while talking to skanky lowlifes about how much the bike cost with all the new bling you have added.

Unfortunately sh!t happens and bikes are stolen, it’s not Grants fault! It’s not the clubs fault!

I have put in place an option for the site forum security as per requested, I personally do not like this as it then give the impression of a closed group. That was never something that My self or Nathan wanted when we first started riding and decided to make this forum/site. We were always open to other riders on the trails and that should be the same on this site. But I thought i would test that it worked.

Now shall I remove all photos as well ? or just blur your face so people looking cant see who is on the bike ? That way they cant link you to your bike. That also go's for the Videos they will all have to go as well as they show faces and bikes together and go forbid somebody might "might" just have seen you walk past them in the last 10 years.

cheers

It's not a bad thing to rethink our security ... at the mo I can't see that we can do any more.
The little scroats will steal your plant pots if they thought they'd be able to sell them on...
The annoying thing is, if you catch them and .... erm re educate them!! you get in more trouble than they do.

Great UK justice
