Socket size I used I can't remember, the approach isn't very scientist I just picked one the is just a little bit smaller than the bearing hole from my socket set.

Here's a good link to explain different ways to do it (I'm not sure if this was the guide that I used but its very similar)

If it's not broken don't let me fix it. :-D

Lee, you have simplified it somewhat.

It is actually a skill honed over many years of trial and error of bashing/ smashing & twatting. :woohoo:
- The secret to mountain biking is pretty simple. The slower you go the more likely it is you’ll crash.
- No one gets hurt in the air
- There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.

Or you can just do it the way Justin does. Find the largest hammer you have and stand well back and swing ! :S:whistle:
If at first you dont succeed, spend 6 hrs in casualty, then try again !!!

Toolsstation are good at picking stuff up like this....

When I did mine I used a couple of sockets and a hammer to push the bearings out..

Threaded bard and sockets would have been perfect though .
