So this might be a little premature.

By start saving as i am sure we will do another Alpine trip again next summer. The more that comes the cheaper it will be as we plan to just rent a Chalet for us as it will be cheaper.

I would say the best bike would be a Cheap DH bike as though we would not be doing DH, these bikes work so much better on the bigger trails.

I know this is a bit early to start planning, but had some spare time in work whilst on a teleconferance.

So I have looked and we couold get a appartment or Chalet next year that will sleep up to 8 people for around £400. So if we have 6 to 8 people the it would be no more than £100 each. PLus as we sort of know we can get the ferry for around £65 return then I think we can do it a lot cheaper next year.

I looked and found this;

Private jet to France from Bristol full of ladies good with poles and a fully stocked bar

Coach transfer from airport to resort however the coach only seats 10 as has bar, disco and more poles

5* Chalet with butler, chef, housekeeper, mechanic, bike garage fully stocked with latest 2012/13 DH/AM bikes

Helicopter to top of routes every day all day!!

ah no that was a lovely dream, got to get back to work now!!!!!!!

It all looks good to me, as you guys have a better idea of what you doing I'm just happy to go with the majority.
There had better be some downhill after this climb...

By the Looks of here en.lesgets.com/mtb/bikepark/trails-details.html
and the attached pdf
it looks as if Les Gets would be closer to the majority of runs rather than Morzine.
Also the main lift is the Chevannes Express so it would be also better to be within easy riding distance of the bottom of this
The secret to mountain biking is pretty simple. The slower you go the more likely it is you’ll crash.

Pdf wouldn't upload as file size too high. Here is a smaller pdf showing you where it is.

I was having a look and the trails do look very good, but 90% of what we would want to do uses the same chair lift up and the trails start and finish in the same area. Now that's a good thing. But it will mean that we will be doing mainly the same trails with in the same 2mile square for 5 days.

Have a look here at the map.
