Great work by the BRA, I think that some of us should attend the next dig day on Saturday the 2nd March, this could turn into a very nice riding spot on our door step :)

- The secret to mountain biking is pretty simple. The slower you go the more likely it is you’ll crash.
- No one gets hurt in the air
- There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.

From Bookface :-

Belmont Riders Association
After a pleasant meeting with the Forestry Commission on the morning of saturday, with a good army of 20 or so mountain bikers turning up and everyone working well, we have reached some rather Gnarly agreements!

So looking down from the carpark, the whole right side of the woods has been dedicated to bikes! The fire road with that awesome yet dead road gap on will be fenced of from the start, warning/notice signs will be placed at entrance points stating that it is an area for cycling and beware of the road gap kinda thing, similar to how they have it by the road gap at FoD.

As for building, Rocks and soil are allowed, Wood is not. All jumps must be rollable and the bigger ones must have chicken runs around them. Any large changes to the tracks such as big burms or jumps should ideally be sketched out and sent to the forestry, basically just keep them updated with changes.

There was talk of getting stone/rocks delivered from a nearby quarry but that is still to be confirmed. We need to organise some dig days as we got an awful lot built yesterday! You can link the tracks right from the carpark down to the end table now keeping to the right of the woods!

I think that was everything?

Massive thankyou to everyone who turned up! Especially Sam Fowler for his massive efforts and determination, Much love ♥

Remember though this is still a public woods and we dont own it! stay polite to the public and horse riders, but as i quote the forestry from yesterday, 'Go Crazy' !
