I'm happy giving them the once over with the spoke key after a couple of rides, just as long as there are no horror stories. I was looking at second hand hopes / 729s , but given that it was nearly double that for a pair that hadn't had the arse ridden out of them, it was hard to say no!

I've heard that the build quality can be a bit hit and miss, so it's probably worth a quick check of the spoke tension when they arrive and a true after about 6 weeks of riding.
but at that price you can't really go wrong.
- The secret to mountain biking is pretty simple. The slower you go the more likely it is you’ll crash.
- No one gets hurt in the air
- There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.

Anyone had experience of their DH wheelsets? I've ordered a set for a shoestring DH build I'm putting together over Christmas and not sure what to expect - other than that they'll almost certainly weigh more than claimed!
