Subject: 50 Acre Trail Day, Saturday 2 October - by: lee

50 Acre Wood

Next bit of 50 Acre Wood to get a buffing is going to be the ultra-fast downhill towards the end of the trail. It's generally looking pretty good, but a few wheel-trapping holes have emerged that need sorting, and there are a couple of other bits that could do with a tweak.

As usual, we're meeting at the squeeze stile at 11.00 am, and will be out until around 4.00pm. You'll need sensible grippy shoes, a lock for your bike if you bring it, and some sandwiches and water if you're staying out all day. We'll supply tools, material, and cake!

I may be able to make it give me a call tomorrow around 12:00 and if I can meet you I will. I would go a long with what Lee has said in that the frame is the most critical part so you need to check this very closely in particular the pivot areas, then the front and rear shox's have they been serviced, when and were? how do they feel? then just a case of checking over the other bits like the wheels are they true.

Hope that helps

Ye that is true, we have not done the Wall for a while, though the weather is not going to be very nice so we are going to get wet. But that will be the same for any of the trails.

So bring wet weather gear.

Video help.

The website can now have video uploaded to it or links can be added to display video dirrectly from sites like Youtube.com. YOu will see I have uploaded 4 videos from Youtube to show what it looks like. There are at present 2 catagories: NBMBC video (from hadcams) and web video like Youtube and so on.

Only logged in users can post video and it will needed to be approved so we do not get anything dodgy....

thanks
